«Simple Method for DTS/DSS Data Interpretation: An Application to pipeline Geotechnical Monitoring».12/6/2019
It is a great pleasure to announce that we are presenting a technical communication entitled «Simple Method for DTS/DSS Data Interpretation: An Application to pipeline Geotechnical Monitoring»
We are looking forward to meeting you all in Puerto Maduro! https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/ipg-2019-omnisens-20-years-old-experienced-dynamic-company-ravet/ Meet us at the OFS-26 conference, the 26th International Conference on OPTICAL FIBRE SENSORS!24/8/2018
The conference will take place on September 24-28, 2018 at the SwissTech Convention Center, EPFL Campus, Lausanne, Switzerland. Omnisens is a platinum sponsor.
TechnipFMC has selected Omnisens SA for the design, manufacturing, supply and service of the full monitoring solution installed on the “Electrically Trace Heated Pipe-in-pipe” (ETH-PiP) for the FENJA project, in the Norwegian Sea.
The FENJA field will be operated by VNG Norge and will have the longest ETH-PiP in the world at 37km, which will be monitored for the next 25 years by Omnisens’ high reliability Distributed Temperature Sensing (DTS) solution. This award further strengthens the long-standing partnership between TechnipFMC and Omnisens and is the result of Omnisens’s proven track record in the Subsea industry. Among several challenging Subsea projects on which Omnisens has collaborated with TechnipFMC, is the ETH-PiP off the coast of Islay, Scotland; the first project of its kind in the world. ‘Through our partnership we are proud to support TechnipFMC’s Integrated EPCI offer and we are very happy to provide the Fenja project team with Subsea expertise on this very exciting project". http://www.cigre.org/Events/Session/Session-2018 Omnisens has been awarded a contract by Nexans Cables for the supply of a permanent monitoring system for the export power cable network of the Beatrice Offshore Windfarm in the Outer Moray . This continues a long established collaboration where Omnisens fibre optic based temperature monitoring systems are being used to monitor the health of critical Power Supply cable networks for the UK’s power generation capacity.
Beatrice Offshore wind farm will be one of the world’s largest offshore wind farms when operational in 2019 producing 588 MW. The export cable system is over 90kms long, and each meter of the Power Cables will be monitored continuously to ensure the cable temperature remains within the safe operating limits. https://www.beatricewind.com/ Omnisens has been selected by DONG Energy to provide Power Cable temperature monitoring systems for the entire export power cable network of Hornsea Project 1 offshore wind farm. This will be one of several DONG Energy projects already awarded to and completed by Omnisens. At 1.2GW Hornsea Project 1 will be the world’s largest offshore wind farm, when it comes into operation in 2022.
Every meter of the export power cable network will be continuously monitored with a temperature accuracy within 2 degrees C to ensure the temperature is controlled within safe operating limits. Each cable circuit is approximately 180 – 190kms long, and the specifications represent one of the most challenging the industry has so far seen. http://www.hornseaprojectone.co.uk/en The Fiber Optic Sensing Association (FOSA), North America’s first trade association dedicated to fiber optic sensing technology, launched today with a focus on educating industry, government and the public on the benefits of this cutting-edge technology.
