DITEST-TNM integrates OMNISENS core sensing technology optimized for long distance monitoring applications with extensive application know-how and field experience

  • Monitoring distance : > 30 km per sensor (*)
  • Optical loss budget : >20 dB (*)
  • Spatial resolution : 0.5 m to 10 m (**)
  • Strain / Temperature resolution : 10 microstrain / 0.5°C (**)
  • Sampling resolution : 0.1 m

(*) Monitoring distance and optical loss budget figures are optimized with respect to application requirements (e.g 5km – 20dB, or 30km – 10dB)

sOFTWARE PACKAGE

DITEST-TNM includes an application oriented software package which features:

 

  • Sensing distance segmentation into unlimited number of zones associated to different sensing characteristics
  • Zone configuration with associated user-defined alarms and relays
  • Automatic compensation of temperature effects on strain measurements
  • Automatic analysis of recoded profiles with status information about measurement quality
  • Multiple traces comparison with respect to selectable baseline, graphical zoom
  • Measurement profiles are broadcaster to local or remote database for increased safety and network compatibility
  • Various export options including text files, Excel files, or bitmap graphical plot

Long range Distributed temperature Optical Fiber Cable
The LTM OFC can accommodate up to 8 fibers. It is a robust cable suitable for direct burial as it integrates rodent protection. The cable includes the optical fibers used for temperature monitoring as well as spare fibers for data communication between the instruments and the control room.

Various sensing cable designs are available offering temperature, strain or combined temperature/strain measurement over long distances. The cables are designed to operate high performance with the DITEST Series of measuring instruments.
