As the worldwide oil reserve is decreasing exploitation of difficult reservoirs such as arctic, subsea and ultradeep water wells has developed rapidely.

Compared to standard wells, the production of these reservoirs requires complex and high performance instrumentation such as fiber optic distributed pressure, distriburted temperature and strain monitoring.


The applications range from the detection of gas and steam breakthrough in production wells, integrity monitoring of well casing, enhanced operation of thermal wells, water injection control and optimization, flow and pressure monitoring.
